Monterey, California – The following is the breakdown of the 7th annual Chevron Shoot-Out, featuring past champions from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and champions from throughout the professional sporting world, on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at Pebble Beach Resort.
Due to the inclement weather, the $100,000 charity competition was transformed into a special putting contest indoors at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
Teams consisted of golf pro D.A. Points and surfing legend Kelly Slater; pro golfer Dustin Johnson and hockey great Wayne Gretzky; golf pro Vaughn Taylor and Giants pitcher Matt Cain; golf pro Jimmy Walker and Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald; Chevron CEO John Watson and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The format was a twosome team cumulative total putts per hole. Each hole was worth $10,000 for the player’s designated charity ($20,000 total per hole). Team charities that did not win a hole were awarded $1000 from Chevron and $1000 from Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
